ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Subsidiary communications authority

A Subsidiary Communications Authority (SCA) is a special kind of radio station that lets people listen to other kinds of radio stations that are normally hard to hear. For example, if you owned an SCA, people in your town could listen to NPR, religious programs, or special music stations even if they don't have a regular radio that can pick up those stations. It's like an amplifier that makes the other radio stations louder so you can listen to them.
