Succession planting

Hi there! So, today we are going to talk about something called "succession planting". This means planting more than one crop in the same space, but at different times.

Let's say that you have a garden bed and you want to grow some delicious veggies. Instead of planting all the seeds at once and harvesting everything at the same time, you can plant some seeds now, and then plant more seeds later, after the first crop is finished. This way, you can have a continuous supply of fresh veggies throughout the growing season.

For example, you could plant some lettuce seeds in your garden bed in early spring. Once the lettuce is ready to harvest, you can plant some bean seeds in the same spot. Then, when the beans are finished, you can plant some kale seeds. This way, you are making the most out of your garden space and getting the most amount of veggies possible.

The important thing to remember with succession planting is to plan ahead and know when to plant your next crop. You also want to make sure you are rotating your crops to prevent soil depletion and pest problems.

So, to sum it up, succession planting means planting different crops at different times in the same space to have a continuous supply of fresh veggies throughout the growing season.
