Sufficiency (statistics)

Sufficiency is a term used in statistics which describes the amount of information a piece of data can give you. Basically, when you have enough information to make a decision, that's called sufficiency. So, if you have enough numbers (data) to show you what the best choice is, then that's enough. It means that you don't need to look at any other kinds of data to make the decision. It's like having enough pieces of a puzzle to see the whole picture.
