Sulfur lamp

A sulfur lamp is a type of light bulb that produces light by heating up a small amount of sulfur to a very high temperature. When the sulfur is heated up, it goes through a chemical reaction called sublimation, which turns it directly from a solid state into a gas.

The gas then emits bright, white light as it passes through a chamber filled with an inert gas such as argon or neon. This reaction produces very little heat and consumes very little energy, making sulfur lamps an efficient and cost-effective lighting option.

In simpler terms, a sulfur lamp is like a tiny light bulb that gets really hot and turns solid sulfur into glowing gas. It produces bright, white light without getting too hot or using too much energy.
