Sumerian literature

Sumerian literature is writing from the ancient Sumerian people. It's mostly made up of stories and parts of stories that were written down thousands of years ago. Sumerian literature is an important part of history because it helps us understand how people lived and thought long ago. Sumerian literature talks about many interesting things like gods and goddesses, kings and queens, heroes and monsters, and adventure stories. Some of them were written as poems, so they read like songs. Other stories were written like plays, so it was like seeing them acted out on stage. All these stories give us a glimpse into the ancient Sumerian culture.
