Suneate

Okay kiddo, today we are going to talk about something called "suneate". Do you know what your legs are made of? Bones! And what do we wear to protect our legs when we play or do martial arts? That's right, shin guards!

Now, suneate is a special type of shin guard worn by samurai warriors in Japan a long, long time ago. It was made of metal plates that were tied together with strings or leather straps, and it covered from the knee down to the ankles.

The suneate was very important because it protected the samurai's legs and feet from getting hurt during battles. When they were fighting, their opponents could use different weapons like swords or arrows, but with the suneate, their legs were well protected.

Nowadays, we don't use suneate as much because we have better protection that is more comfortable to wear, but they are still important in the history of Japanese martial arts and samurai warriors.
