Okay kiddo, do you know what a puzzle is? When you put all the pieces together, they make one big picture, right?
Now imagine that the Earth’s landmasses are like puzzle pieces. A supercontinent is when all the land on Earth is put together to make one big piece, like a super puzzle.
It’s like when you put together all your LEGOs to build a big castle, but instead of LEGOs, it’s land.
A long time ago, all the land on Earth was like this super puzzle. It was called Pangaea. But over a really long time, the super puzzle broke apart into smaller pieces, like when you accidentally drop your LEGO castle and it breaks into smaller pieces.
