Superheated water

Superheated water is water that is heated past the boiling point but has not turned into steam yet. This can happen if the water is heated to a really high temperature in a sealed container that doesn't let any steam escape. Instead of boiling and turning into steam, the water stays liquid but is much hotter than boiling water.
