Surface effect ship

A surface effect ship is a special kind of boat that uses air to help it travel on the water. It's kind of like when you blow air into a balloon and it stays up in the air instead of falling to the ground.

A surface effect ship has two big parts: the main body of the boat that floats on the water, and two big fans that blow air down from the back of the boat. This air flows under the boat and creates a cushion of air that lifts the boat up just a little bit, so it's not actually sitting in the water like a normal boat.

Because the boat is partly lifted up by the cushion of air, it can travel faster and more smoothly over waves and rough water. It also needs less fuel to travel the same distance as a normal boat.

It's kind of like having a magic carpet that floats on air instead of being weighed down by the water. Isn't that cool?
