Surface fitting

Surface fitting is like making a big jigsaw puzzle. You have all the pieces of the puzzle, and you want to fit them together so you can see the picture. In surface fitting, each piece is a "point," and the picture you're trying to make is a line, an arc, or a curve. So you take all the points, and try to fit them together so that the line, arc, or curve goes through as many of the points as possible.
