Imagine the susskind-hawking battle between two brothers playing in a huge yard. The yard is so big that it goes on forever and the two brothers are standing on different sides. The first brother, Susskind, wants to clean the yard. He starts on one side and begins doing the work, but it's too big to finish. The other brother, Hawking, says the yard is too big to ever be cleaned and it will always stay dirty. The brothers argue back and forth, until eventually, Susskind comes up with another solution. He can break the yard into many smaller pieces, which will make it easier to clean. Hawking doesn't like this idea because it would make the yard much smaller and he doesn't want it to change. They continue to argue until finally, they decide to agree to disagree - the yard stays the way it is. Susskind and Hawking have been arguing about this for a long time and still haven't come to a conclusion!
