Swampland is a term used in physics to describe a region in an imaginary space where mathematical equations used to describe the behavior of particles and forces of nature do not make sense. Because these equations don't make sense, physicists will often be unable to explain what's going on in this imaginary space. For example, this swampland might contain particles that interact in strange and unusual ways, so if you thought about what would happen if those particles interacted with each other it wouldn't make sense.
