Swatting

Swatting is a dangerous prank involving calling the police on someone, usually without their knowledge, with the intention of having a SWAT team show up at their house. This can be extremely scary and dangerous for the person, and it can also put the SWAT team members in harm's way. Swatting is considered a serious crime and can result in jail time. Sometimes, pranksters will call the police and falsely report a hostile situation at someone's house so that police officers with weapons will arrive. Swatting can even result in someone getting seriously hurt or killed.
