ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Mobbing

Okay kiddo, imagine you’re in a school with other kids. You know how sometimes they might tease you or be mean to you? That’s not nice, right?

Well imagine if it’s not just one kid, but a whole group of kids doing it to you. They might call you names, say mean things about you or even try to hurt you physically.

That’s what we call mobbing. It’s when a group of people (usually grown-ups in the workplace, but sometimes it can happen elsewhere) gang up and hurt one person together. It can make that person feel really sad, scared, and alone.

It’s never okay for someone to hurt another person like that, so if you or someone you know is being mobbed, it’s really important to tell a grown-up you trust, like a teacher, parent, or boss. They can help make it stop and make sure everyone is treated with kindness and respect.
