ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Symmetrization

Symmetrization is like taking a cookie and cutting it in half so that both sides look the same. Imagine you have a cookie with chocolate chips on only one side. If you wanted to make the cookie look the same on both sides, you could cut it in half and put the chocolate chips on the other side so it looks the same as the other half. This is what symmetrization is all about - making both sides of something look exactly the same!
