System migration

System migration is like moving from one house to another. Imagine you have a lot of toys and clothes in your old house, but your family wants to move to a new house. To do that, you have to pack all your things in boxes and take them to the new house.

Similarly, when a company wants to change its computer systems or move its data from one server to another, it’s called system migration. The company has to move all the data, software, and applications from one computer or server to another.

It's a bit more complicated than moving your toys, though. The company has to make sure that all the data is transferred safely and correctly so that it can still be used in the new system. This can take some time and careful planning to make sure everything works just right.

It's like your parents planning your move - they have to decide when it's best to move, make sure the new house is ready for you, and that all your things are packed and labeled. The company also has to plan when it's best to do the migration, make sure the new system is ready, and that all the data is organized and moved correctly.

System migration can be a big job, but it's important for companies to keep their systems up-to-date and move their data to more secure and efficient systems, just like moving to a new house can be a fresh start for your family.
