ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

T-carrier

Imagine you have a big basket of apples and you want to take them to your friend's house. But your friend lives very far away, so you can't carry them all by yourself. You need someone to help you, and that's what T-carrier is for.

T-carrier is like a team of friends who help you carry your apples all the way to your friend's house. It's a way to send lots of information, like phone calls or internet data, over long distances using special cables.

When you make a phone call or use the internet, your voice or data goes into the T-carrier "basket" and then it's divided into lots of little "apples" (bits of information), like putting your voice into tiny pieces. Then, each little piece of information is sent separately through the special cables.

When the "apples" (bits of information) get to your friend's house, they're put back together again to make your voice or data whole, just like putting together a puzzle. Your friend can then hear your voice or see the information you sent.

So, T-carrier helps your information travel long distances and get to where it needs to go, just like your friends helping you carry your basket of apples to your friend's house.
