Table (landform)

A table is like a big flat piece of land that sits up high above everything else around it, like a super tall and long table that you might eat your meals on. It's usually surrounded by steep cliffs or mountains on all sides, which makes it look like it's sitting on top of them just like a table. Tables are formed by different natural processes like erosion, which wears away the softer rocks and soil over millions of years, leaving behind the harder, tougher rocks and creating a kind of platform or flat top. People can hike or climb up to the top of tables to enjoy the amazing views and explore the unique plants and animals that live there.
