Tach timer

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a stopwatch that you use to time how fast you can run or how long you can hold your breath? Well, a tach timer is kind of like that, but for measuring how fast something spins or moves around.

Let's say you have a toy car with wheels that spin really fast. You can use a tach timer to measure how many times the wheels go around in one minute. The tach timer has a sensor that counts the spins and shows you the number on a display screen.

But tach timers are also used in important grown-up things like airplanes and cars. In airplanes, they measure how fast the engines are spinning and help the pilots control the speed. In cars, they measure how fast the wheels are turning and help the driver know when to shift gears.

So, a tach timer is a special stopwatch that helps us measure how fast things are moving around. It's like a little helper that tells us important information so we can make sure things are working the way they should.
