Takanakuy

Takanakuy is a tradition in Peru where people get together to fight. But it's not a real fight where people try to hurt each other. Instead, it's more like a dance where people take turns to fight each other while others watch and cheer.

Everyone who wants to participate wears colorful clothes and masks to hide their faces. They also wear boxing gloves to protect themselves from getting hurt. Then, they gather in a special place like a plaza or field and start the fighting.

The fights usually start with two people who want to fight each other. They dance around each other for a while and then start punching each other. But they don't try to knock the other person out like in a real fight. They just hit each other lightly and move around.

When one person is tired or wants to stop, they raise their hands in the air. This means they give up and the other person wins. But nobody really wins or loses because the point is just to have fun and show off their skills.

Takanakuy is a way for people to release their anger and frustrations in a safe and controlled way. It's also a way to show respect to each other and to settle any disagreements or conflicts they might have. After the fighting, people usually hug and forgive each other.
