Tamil inscriptions

People who lived in Tamil Nadu a thousand years ago used these inscriptions to write down important things like laws, religious texts, and even stories about their rulers. Some of the inscriptions were written in a language called Tamil, which is still spoken today in Tamil Nadu.

These inscriptions can be really interesting to read because they give us a peek into what life was like a long, long time ago. They tell us things like what people ate, how they dressed, and what kind of work they did. They also show us how people communicated with each other in the past, before things like telephones and computers were invented.
