Tamper resistance is a way of protecting something so that nobody can change it without permission. It's like putting a lock on something to make sure only the people who know the combination can open it. In technology, a program or a device can be given certain tamper resistance qualities like encryption to keep it safe from people who aren't allowed to change it.
