Tamper-evident technology is like a seal that protects something so that it can't be opened or changed without someone knowing about it. For example, if you wanted to make sure nobody was able to get inside a box without leaving evidence, like fingerprints, then you could use tamper-evident technology to create a special seal that would break if the box was opened. That way, you would know that somebody had tampered with the box, because the seal was broken.
