Tangentopoli

Tangentopoli is a very complicated and grown-up word that means "bribery city" in Italian. It happened a long time ago in Italy, around the late 1980s and early 1990s. Basically, there were many politicians and important people who were doing bad things like taking money and gifts from other people who wanted something in return. These people would use their power to help those who gave them money and gifts, even if it wasn't fair. This caused a lot of problems because the politicians were not looking out for what was best for everyone, but just for themselves and their friends. Eventually, some brave people spoke up and exposed the bad behavior, and those who were involved were punished. In the end, it was a lesson to always be honest and fair, and that being greedy and selfish is not a good way to live.
