Tangpyeong-chae

Tangpyeong-chae is a Korean dish that is made of thinly sliced vegetables that are marinated in a sweet and sour dressing.

Imagine you have different kinds of vegetables, like cucumber, carrot, onion, and radish. First, you wash and peel them. Then, you use a special tool called a mandolin to slice them into very thin pieces.

After that, you mix together a sauce made of vinegar, sugar, and water. The sauce is what makes it sweet and sour.

Then, you put the thinly sliced vegetables into the sauce and let them soak for a few hours. This makes them taste yummy and also changes the color of the veggies.

Once the vegetables have soaked up the sauce, you can eat them just like that. They are crunchy, tangy, and sweet. Some people like to eat them as a side dish with rice and meat, or you can eat them as a snack.

So, tangpyeong-chae is basically a delicious dish made of very thinly sliced vegetables soaked in a sweet and sour sauce. Yum!
