Targeted attacks

Targeted attacks are when a person or group of people tries to harm a specific person or business by using malicious software to steal information or cause damage. They can be very dangerous because they are specifically aimed at a certain person or company, so the attackers know how to target them. For example, if a person wanted to steal all of your confidential information, they could send a targeted attack to your computer or phone. The attack could have instructions to delete all of your important files or to steal all of your passwords. It could even have instructions to spy on you or your family. The goal of a targeted attack is to cause harm or steal something of value from the person or business the attackers have targeted.
