Tarhana

Tarhana is a type of traditional food that people make in some countries. It comes in the form of a dry powder that you can mix with water or milk to make a soup. Tarhana is usually made from a mixture of wheat flour, yogurt, and vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, and onions.

First, people mix the wheat flour and yogurt together and let it sit out in the sun for a few days so it can ferment. Fermenting means that tiny little organisms called bacteria make some changes to the mixture that helps give it a sour taste and makes it easier to digest.

After the mixture has fermented for a little while, people add the vegetables and let everything dry out in the sun or in the oven until it becomes a dry powder. This powder can last for a really long time without spoiling because all the moisture has been taken out.

When someone wants to eat tarhana, they mix the powder with water or milk and heat it up to make a creamy soup. It's a really tasty and filling meal that has been enjoyed by people for hundreds of years!
