ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Technological rationality

Technological rationality is an idea of using the most effective and efficient methods to solve problems. It means looking for the quickest and easiest way to do something, and when faced with a challenge, weighing the different options to find the best solution. For example, if you needed to get from one place to another, you could use a car, bike, walking, or a bus. Technological rationality would tell you to look at all the options and decide which one was the most efficient in terms of time and money.
