Telecoms resilience

Telecoms resilience means making sure that all the devices and equipment that help us communicate (like phone lines, internet service, and cell towers) keep working even if there’s a problem. This is like having a backup plan if things go wrong.

For example, imagine that you want to call your friend on the phone, but a big storm knocks down a bunch of trees which caused some phone lines to break. If the telecoms systems were not resilient, you wouldn't be able to make that call because the phone lines would be down.

But, with telecoms resilience, the phone company can quickly fix the broken phone line or switch to an alternative line to make sure that you can still make the call. They might have back-up generators to keep cell towers running if the power goes out or extra fiber optic cables that can be used if the main ones get damaged.

Overall, telecoms resilience is all about making sure that no matter what happens, we can keep talking with each other and stay connected even in difficult times.
