Temple Mount
The Temple Mount is a really special place in the city of Jerusalem. It’s like a big hill, but it’s a really important religious site for three major religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
A long time ago, the Jewish people built a big building called the First Temple on the Temple Mount. Later on, they built the Second Temple which was also very important to them. The Temple Mount is considered to be the holiest place for the Jewish people because of this history.
The mosque, called the Dome of the Rock, is also on the Temple Mount. It was built a long time ago by Muslims and it’s really beautiful. Muslims also consider this place to be really important because they believe that their Prophet Muhammad once went to heaven from this place.
The Temple Mount is a really special place for a lot of different reasons. Even though it has had problems and fights over ownership, people still come from all around the world to visit it and see how amazing it is!
