Terrestrial ecosystem

A terrestrial ecosystem is the place where living things like animals, plants, and even tiny organisms like bugs live and interact with each other on land. Just like how we live in houses and apartments where we interact with our neighbors, living things have their own special homes in nature called ecosystems.

Imagine taking a walk in a big park near your house. As you walk, you see lots of different living things like trees, grass, birds, and insects. Each of these living things is part of the terrestrial ecosystem. Just like how we need food to survive, all these living things also need things to survive. Some living things eat plants while others eat other animals.

But these living things are not just a bunch of random creatures living in the same place. They actually depend on each other to survive. For example, plants need sunlight and air to survive, while animals need plants to eat. In turn, insects and small animals eat plants, and bigger animals eat those insects and small animals. All of these relationships create a balance in the ecosystem, which helps to keep everything healthy and in check.

So, a terrestrial ecosystem is like a big family of living things living together and depending on each other to survive. Each living thing has a special role to play in keeping everything balanced and healthy!
