Test tube

Hey there kiddo! So a test tube is basically a long, skinny, and transparent tube that scientists use to hold small amounts of liquid for their experiments. It’s like a tiny bottle!

It's made out of a type of glass that's very strong and can withstand high temperatures and all kinds of chemicals that scientists use for their experiments. That’s why test tubes are so useful in science labs!

Scientists use them to mix different liquids together, heat them up, cool them down or store them for later use.

They can also use a special tool called a pipette to fill or remove liquids from the test tube. Once the experiment is done, scientists can wash the test tube and use it again for the next experiment.

So, that’s pretty much what a test tube is! It's just a little glass container that scientists use for their experiments, but it helps them discover all sorts of great things!
