Textile industry in Taiwan

So, you know how clothes and blankets and things are made out of fabric, right? Well, in Taiwan, there are a lot of factories that make that fabric. They use big machines that spin and weave and dye the fabric.

People have been making fabric in Taiwan for a very long time, but it really started to grow in the 1960s and 1970s. Back then, Taiwan was trying to become more industrialized, which means they wanted to have lots of factories making things.

The textile industry in Taiwan grew very quickly during this time, and a lot of people started working in the fabric factories. It became a really important part of the economy.

Today, there are still a lot of textile factories in Taiwan, although they have become much more advanced over the years. They use high-tech machines and produce all kinds of different fabrics, from cotton to polyester to silk.
