The Thai six-hour clock is a way of telling time in Thailand that is different from the way we tell time in other parts of the world. Instead of using twelve hours to measure the day, the Thai people divide the day into four parts, each of which is six hours long. These parts are called "watches".
So, when someone in Thailand says it's "one o'clock" they really mean it's one watch in the first part of the day, which is from 6am to 12pm. If they say it's "two o'clock", it means the second watch of the day, which is from 12pm to 6pm.
This way of telling time is still used in some parts of Thailand, especially in rural areas, but in most places, the standard twelve-hour clock is used.
