Thamud

Thamud was a tribe of people who lived a long time ago in a place called Arabia. They believed in God and were very skilled builders and farmers. However, they also had some bad habits, like being greedy and not listening to their prophets.

One of their most famous stories is about a prophet named Saleh. He came to them and told them to stop being greedy and to take care of the poor and the needy. But the Thamud didn't listen, and they started to make fun of Saleh and insult him.

God warned the Thamud that they would face a terrible punishment if they didn't change their ways. But they still didn't listen. So, God sent a huge miracle that shook the earth, and a giant stone came out from the mountain. Saleh told them that they should not destroy this miracle and instead respect and take care of it. But the Thamud were arrogant and, with their skills, carved this stone into a beautiful building that became a symbol of their power and wealth.

As time went by, the Thamud continued to be disrespectful and disobedient to God, and eventually, a loud, thunderous sound was heard, and a big earthquake happened. It was so massive that it destroyed the entire tribe of Thamud, leaving nothing behind but ruins.

So, Thamud is a story about a tribe of people who were once prosperous and powerful but didn't listen to God's warnings, and their arrogance led to their downfall. It also teaches us that we should be humble, respectful, and listen to our prophets, and stay away from bad habits like greediness.
