Enron was a big company that did a lot of different things, like selling energy and investing in other companies. But some people who worked there did some bad things. They lied and cheated to make it look like Enron was doing better than it really was. They made fake reports and hid things from the people who invested in Enron so that they would keep giving the company money.
The people who did these bad things got caught, and Enron went bankrupt. That means they couldn't pay back all the money they owed to people who had invested in the company. A lot of people lost their jobs and their life savings.
There was a movie made about all of this called "The Crooked E: The Unshredded Truth About Enron". And it's called "crooked" because the people at Enron were doing dishonest things. And "unshredded truth" means that people found out what really happened, even though some people tried to cover it up by getting rid of important papers.
