The Lion and the Unicorn

Alright kiddo, let me tell you a story about the lion and the unicorn. They were two animals that were used as symbols in England a long, long time ago.

The lion was the symbol of the kings of England because lions are strong, brave, and fierce - just like a king should be. And the unicorn was the symbol of Scotland because, well, they thought unicorns lived in Scotland and they were magical creatures that represented purity and nobility.

So, people used to draw pictures of the lion and the unicorn together to show that England and Scotland were united. But, even though they were meant to symbolize unity, the lion and the unicorn were often shown fighting each other in the pictures.

This was because in reality, England and Scotland did not always get along and had many conflicts over the years. But, eventually, they became one country and the lion and the unicorn are now just symbols of the British monarchy.

So, that's the story of the lion and the unicorn - two animals that used to represent two different countries, but now represent the power and strength of one big country.
