The Long Short Cut

The long short cut means that you take a longer route to get to your destination, but end up taking the same amount of time or less than it would have taken you to take the shorter route. For example, imagine you wanted to get to the grocery store. You could take a shorter direct route, or you could choose a longer route that has less traffic and fewer stops. Even though the longer route is longer, you might get to the store faster because it has less traffic and fewer stops. That's the long short cut.
