The Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006

Okay kiddo, you know how some grown-ups get married and have babies? Sometimes, some other grown-ups think it's okay for kids to get married too. But the government doesn't think it's a good idea for kids to get married because it can be bad for them. That's why they made a rule that says kids can't get married.

The rule is called the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006. It means that any kid who's younger than 18 years old can't get married. Even if they want to, it's not allowed. The government did this to protect kids from getting hurt or being forced to do things they don't want to do.

So, the rule says that if anyone tries to make a kid get married, they will be in trouble with the law. Nobody can force a kid to get married or trick them into it. If anyone does that, they can go to jail for a long time.

The government wants all kids to be safe and happy. And that's why they made the rule to stop child marriages. It's important for kids to stay in school, grow up healthy, and make their own choices when they're grown-ups.
