The Tale of the Four Dervishes

Once upon a time, there were four men called dervishes. They were known for being wise and knowledgeable. One day, they went on a journey together to seek knowledge and answer the questions they had about life.

As they traveled, they came across a well. One of the dervishes decided to go down into the well to retrieve some water. However, when he reached the bottom, he discovered a hidden treasure. Excitedly, he called out to his friends to come help him bring the treasure up.

But the other dervishes were skeptical. They thought that the treasure might be cursed or dangerous. So, they decided to consult with a wise hermit who lived nearby.

The hermit listened to their story and asked them a question: "What is the most important thing in life?"

The first dervish answered, "Wealth and riches."

The second dervish answered, "Fame and glory."

The third dervish answered, "Power and control."

However, the fourth dervish sat silently, pondering the question. Finally, he spoke up and said, "The most important thing in life is contentment and inner peace. Without them, wealth, fame, and power are meaningless."

The hermit nodded and agreed with the fourth dervish's answer. He then gave them a piece of advice: "If you wish to keep the treasure, you must share it equally and use it for good causes. Only then can you find true happiness and contentment."

The four dervishes took the hermit's advice and divided the treasure equally amongst themselves. They then used the money to help the poor and needy in their travels and lived happily ever after.
