Thermal conductance quantum is a term used to describe how heat energy travels. Heat energy is made up of tiny particles called 'quanta'. These quanta travel through materials and can move in different directions. The thermal conductance quantum is the number of quanta that can move through one material at a time. It tells us how well the material allows heat to pass through it.
