Thermal cooking

Okay kiddo, so have you ever had hot soup or stew for dinner that someone cooked on the stove? Well, thermal cooking is a special way to cook food that doesn't even need the stove or electricity! It uses a special kind of pot called a thermal cooker.

Thermal cooking works like this: first, you heat up your food and water in a regular pot on the stove until it starts to boil. Then, you pour it into the thermal cooker, which is like a big metal container with two layers. The inner layer is where the food goes, and the outer layer is filled with special insulation material to keep the heat inside.

Once you put the hot food in the thermal cooker, you close the lid tightly, and the insulation keeps it hot! The heat from the food and water is trapped inside the cooker, which allows the food to continue cooking and stay really hot for many hours without any added heat. This is why it's called "thermal" cooking.

So, let's say your mom is making soup for dinner. She puts all the ingredients in a pot and cooks it on the stove like she normally would. But instead of serving it right away, she pours it into the thermal cooker and closes the lid. She could leave it there for several hours and still have hot soup when she's ready to serve it!

Thermal cooking is great for people who want to save energy and also for people who like to prepare meals ahead of time. It's used a lot in places where there's no access to electricity or where people want to reduce their carbon footprint.

So now you know all about thermal cooking! It's a special way to cook food that doesn't need a stove or electricity, and it keeps your meals hot for hours. Pretty cool, right?
