Third party (politics)

In politics, a third party is a group of people other than the two main political parties that have a large influence. For example, in the United States, the two main parties are the Republicans and the Democrats. Third parties often have different ideas or beliefs than the two main parties and attempt to influence the political process by running candidates for office or advocating for certain issues or policies.
