Thorium-based nuclear power

Thorium-based nuclear power is a way to generate energy using a special kind of fuel called thorium. Thorium is a naturally occurring element found in soil and rocks all over the world. It can be used to create energy in a nuclear reactor, just like uranium. In a nuclear reactor, thorium is combined with other materials and bombarded with neutrons. This causes the thorium to become unstable and it splits apart, releasing a large amount of heat energy. This heat energy is used to boil water and make steam, which is then used to spin a turbine and generate electricity. Thorium is a very powerful fuel and can produce more energy with less waste than uranium, making it a safer and more efficient way to generate power.
