Three Friends of Winter
Once upon a time, when it gets really cold outside and snow falls down, there were three special friends who were always together. These friends are called the Three Friends of Winter. They are known for helping each other out during winter time.
The first friend is a pine tree, and he is tall and strong. He has sharp needles that don't fall off in the winter, and the snow stays on his branches. He loves to provide shelter to other animals like birds and squirrels who like to hide in his branches and eat his pinecones.
The second friend is bamboo, and he is tall and skinny. He has long leaves that sway in the wind during the winter. He loves to make a sound, like a soft whistle, when the wind blows through him. He is also strong and flexible, so he bends with the wind and doesn't break.
The third friend is plum blossom, and she is a beautiful flower that blooms even in the winter. She has bright pink and white petals that pop out of the snow. She likes to add color to the white winter scenery, and she smells very sweet.
