Tibicos

Tibicos, also known as water kefir grains or sugar kefir grains, are tiny little living organisms that can help make a type of fermented drink. These little grains look a bit like clear, gelatinous crystals or rocks, and they're typically used to make a fizzy, slightly tangy drink that's full of probiotics.

Now, probiotics are tiny little bacteria that are good for your tummy. They can help your digestion work better and keep your tummy feeling happy and healthy. Tibicos have lots of these little bacteria inside of them, which is why they're sometimes called "probiotic powerhouses."

To make a tibicos drink, you'll need to mix the grains with a sweet liquid, typically sugar water or fruit juice. The sugar in the liquid helps feed the tibicos and helps them grow and reproduce. As the grains work their magic, they'll ferment the liquid, which means they'll start to break down the sugar and turn it into other compounds like carbon dioxide and acids.

This fermentation process is what gives tibicos drinks their fizziness and tanginess. The longer you let the grains ferment the liquid, the more flavorful and fizzy the final drink will be.

So, in summary, tibicos are tiny little organisms that can be used to make a fizzy, tangy drink that's full of probiotics. By mixing the grains with sugar water or fruit juice, you can create a homemade tibicos drink that's good for your tummy and tastes delicious too!
