Tibiotarsus

The tibiotarsus is a bone that is in the legs of birds. It is like the shinbone that you have in your legs, but it is longer and thinner. The tibiotarsus bone helps birds stand, walk and jump. It is made up of two parts: the tibia and the tarsus. The tibia is the bigger part of the bone that helps the bird's leg move up and down. The tarsus is the smaller part of the bone that helps the bird move its foot and toes. So, to explain it simply, the tibiotarsus bone helps birds move their legs and feet so that they can walk, jump, and stand.
