ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Timber recycling

Timber recycling is when we use wood again instead of throwing it away. Imagine you have a toy made out of wood that you don't play with anymore. Instead of throwing it in the trash, we can take it apart and then use the pieces to make something new. It's like giving the toy a new life!

Why do we recycle timber? Because it takes a long time to grow trees and cutting down too many trees can be bad for the environment. By recycling timber, we can use less new wood and protect the forests. It's also good for the planet because we don't have to make as much new wood, which means we don't create as much pollution or use as much energy.

Recycling timber can also save us money. If we reuse wood instead of buying new wood, we can save money on materials. And if we don't have to cut down as many trees, we don't have to spend as much money on logging, transportation and other things.

So, timber recycling is like giving old wood a new life and it's good for the planet and our wallets!
