Time–frequency analysis for music signals is like looking at a picture made up of lots of different colors. In this picture each color is representing a particular sound in the music. By looking at the picture we can understand better what is happening in the music. We can see which notes are louder, which ones are softer, and how they interact with each other. This helps us understand the song better, and make it sound better.
