Okay, kiddo. So, a long time ago, people didn't have cars like we do now. They had horses and carriages to get around. But then, a man named Karl Benz invented the first car in 1885. He started his own company called Mercedes-Benz, which is still a famous car brand today.
After that, lots of other smart people started making their own cars and creating new car brands. In 1903, there was a man named Henry Ford who started the Ford Motor Company. He made a car called the Model T, which became really popular because it was cheap and easy to use.
Other well-known car brands started popping up, too. For example, Chevrolet was started by a man named Louis Chevrolet, and his company was then bought by General Motors (GM). When GM bought Chevrolet, they also bought other car brands like Cadillac and Buick.
Over time, newer brands like Toyota, Honda, and Nissan started becoming popular. They are Japanese car brands and are known for making reliable and efficient cars. Today, there are many different car brands all over the world, and each one has its own unique features and design.
